This week we’ll take a look at Psalm 130. I have written a piece of music inspired by the psalm. Here are the lyrics to my composition. Keep in mind that this is just a paraphrase of the original . After meditating on Psalm 130, the phase, “Out of the Depths I Cry to You” stuck with me resulting in the following.

Chorus

Out of the depths I call to you
Lord, hear my cry
Out of the depths I call to you
Lord, hear my cry
Hear my cry, hear my cry
hear my cry, hear my cry

Verse

I wait and long, long for the Lord
Lord, have mercy
We wait and long, long for the Lord
Lord, have mercy

Hear my cry, hear my cry
Hear my cry, hear my cry

Hearing this in song form brings a deeper meaning for me. Most of us have had the experience of hearing a tune running around in our head, again and again. This can be a good thing too. This Sunday, when we play this piece, keep this in mind.
